Do you have any fun ideas to celebrate the Fourth of July with my children?

You can celebrate the Fourth of July fun with patriotic activities, decorations, treats, and crafts. Organize a bike/trike parade with your neighbors and have all the children decorate their rides with streamers. Decorate your house and yard with red, white, and blue balloons and garland, or have a 4th of July picnic with red, white, and blue foods (my favorite patriotic treat is an American flag made from watermelon, feta cheese, and blueberries). Create flags with construction paper or get inspired by looking for patriotic craft ideas on Pinterest (pinterest.com).You can even turn the holiday into a fun learning experience by reading books about the Fourth of July (e.g.,Corduroy's Fourth of July by Don Freeman, Elmo Doodle Dandy by Naomi Kleinberg).
