Pairing your Controller with the LeapTV

Q: I've followed the steps to pair the contoller to my console but it is not working.

Please try the following:

  1. Power off the LeapTV console.
  2. Remove the two AA batteries from the controller for 30 seconds, then reinstall the batteries.
  3. Power on the LeapTV console and wait until it the Home Screen appears.
  4. Attempt to pair the controller again:
  • On the controller, press the Home & Hint buttons together for 3 seconds until the light at the bottom turns blue.
  • Next, press the Sync button on the console.
  • After you press the Sync button on the console, the light on the bottom of the controller will turn magenta in color after a few seconds.
  • After another few seconds, you will be paired and the screen on the LeapTV will auto advance.

If pairing still fails:

  • Check the batteries in the controller are new or fully charged.
  • Check the batteries are inserted in the controller in the correct direction.
  • Verify you have pressed the correct two buttons (Home & Hint) on the controller simultaneously.
  • Verify you did not press the Sync button on the console more than one time during the sync process.
Q: I purchased a second controller for LeapTV, how do I set it up and pair it with my LeapTV console?

To pair a second controller:
  1. Insert two new AA batteries into the controller.
  2. Power on the LeapTV console and wait until it the Home Screen appears.
  3. On the controller, press the Home & Hint buttons together for 3 seconds until the light at the bottom turns blue.
  4. Next, press the Sync button on the console.
  5. After you press the Sync button on the console, the light on the bottom of the controller will turn magenta in color after a few seconds.
  6. After another few seconds, the LED light next to the Home button on the controller will glow a solid green. The controller is now paired and will work when you launch a two-player game.

If you encounter any difficulty with the above steps:

  • Power the console off.
  • Remove the batteries from the controller for 10 seconds.
  • Re-install the batteries into the controller.
  • Power the console on and attempt the sync process again.
