LeapPad1 or Leapster Explorer not recognized by my computer
It appears that LeapFrog Connect may be blocked by your firewall software. We have released an update for your device to help resolve this issue. In order to allow LeapFrog Connect to communicate with your device and install the update please follow these directions:
For LeapPad1:
1. Unplug your device from the computer and turn it off.
2. Hold down the right arrow on the direction pad, the home button, and the lower volume button simultaneously.
3. While holding the above buttons press the power button.
4. The screen on your device should show the "connection needed" image below.
5. Connect your device to your computer and the LeapFrog Connect software will install your update.
For Leapster Explorer:
1. Unplug your device from the computer and turn it off.
2. Hold down the left & right shoulder buttons, and the hint (?) button simultaneously.
3. While holding the above buttons press the power button.
4. The screen on your device should show the "connection needed" image below.
5. Connect your device to your computer and the LeapFrog Connect software will install your update.
