LeapFrog Connect Windows Compatibility
LeapPad® Learning Tablets
An updated version of the LeapFrog Connect Software is available for your LeapPad® Learning Tablet. Please uninstall the previous version of LeapFrog Connect for LeapPad, then install the the new version of located on the Support Page for your device.
To uninstall the previous version of LeapFrog Connect from your PC, use the Uninstall function in the Programs & Features section of your Windows Control Panel:
- In the search box on the taskbar, type “Control Panel” and select it from the results.
- Select Programs > Programs and Features.
- Press and hold (or right-click) on LeapFrog Connect
- Select Uninstall or Uninstall/Change. Then follow the directions on the screen.

LeapReader Reading & Writing System
An updated version of the LeapFrog Connect Software is available for your LeapReader. Please uninstall the previous version of LeapFrog Connect for LeapReader, then install the new version located on the LeapReader Support Page
To uninstall the previous version of LeapFrog Connect for LeapReader from your PC, use the Uninstall function in the Programs & Features section of your Windows Control Panel:
- In the search box on the taskbar, type “Control Panel” and select it from the results.
- Select Programs > Programs and Features.
- Press and hold (or right-click) on LeapFrog Connect
- Select Uninstall or Uninstall/Change. Then follow the directions on the screen.

Regrettably, effective April 1, 2018, LeapFrog Connect software for this device has been discontinued and is no longer available. The device itself will continue to operate as normal with the last content that was loaded.
Currently, LeapFrog has no plans to provide further maintenance or support services for the features of these products.
