Visual memory
A strong visual memory helps a child in reading, writing and arithmetic. To strengthen your child's visual memory, all you need is a spare 10 minutes a day. Ask your child to take a good look at you. Tell her to close her eyes, then ask her: What color is my shirt? What kind of shoes do I have on? Are my hands in your lap or by my side? Does she remember what she sees? The focus can be anything—your living room, a box of toys, things on a shelf. With time your child's visual memory will expand and so too will her skills in the classroom.
