What if?
Children are born scientists. They are curious and are constantly trying out their hypotheses. Incorporate thought-provoking questions into your daily conversations to foster your child's scientific thinking. For example, "What do you think would happen if it snowed every day?" "What do you think would happen if it was always daytime?" Give your child plenty of time to think and answer. This tells him his thoughts are valuable and worth sharing. Encourage him to ponder his own "What if..." questions too. The more your child wonders about, the more he will learn.
