Spark your child's imagination and interest in reading and creative writing. Cut out a picture from a magazine and ask your child to make up a story about it. As he tells his tale, write it down. Display it along with the picture somewhere he can see it. He will want you to read his story again and again, and may even start to identify some of the words himself.
