Use this activity when driving in the car, or while on a walk, to practice number recognition with your child, along with counting and writing skills. Create a chart that lists the numbers from 1 to 50. Look for numbers on license plates, signs or billboards. Use the chart to record how many of each number you see. Challenge your child by looking for numbers in word form: one-stop shopping; two-day service; buy one, get one free; or open seven days a week.
