Observing the world
Weekend outings with your child do not have to be elaborate. Just take a walk with your child and use the time to talk about what you both see. This activity strengthens your child's power of observation and nurtures a curiosity about people and places. Stop by a construction site and look at the pulleys, tractors, cranes and wheels. How does the crane work? Why is the scaffolding there? This building doesn't have walls. Do you think they will build walls for it?
