Get a grip—on that pencil
Help your child learn to use a proper pencil grip with this quick tip. Wad up half of a tissue. You can also use a small, fuzzy pompom. Have your child fold his or her ring and pinky fingers down over the tissue or pompom, holding it in place, then grip a pencil with the other three fingers. Challenge your child to write or draw without dropping the tissue/pompom.
