Introduce your baby to a new vocabulary word every day, and spend time rehearsing and reinforcing the previous days’ words. While at home or on the go, play vocabulary-building games. Using an excited voice, ask baby “What’s that?” as you point to an object. Then say, “That is a clock!” This game builds vocabulary and reinforces words through visualization and repetition. Even though baby may not be able to say the word, she’s storing the information for future use.
