Letters in the sand
Turn the beach or sandbox into your child's first white-board.
At the beach or playground, use the sand as your drawing board. Start by writing the first letter of your child’s name in the sand. Make it nice and big. Then invite your toddler to walk along the letter with you. Toddlers use their whole bodies to learn.
