Penny toss
Get in some target practice - and math practice to boot - with this fun penny tossing game.
Cut an empty egg carton so that it has 10 spaces. Label each space consecutively from 0 – 9. Stand a distance away with your child, and take turns tossing pennies into the carton.
Play a game to gain speed and practice with math facts. For example, toss two pennies and ask your child to quickly solve addition or multiplication facts (3 + 5 or 3 x 5). Take turns solving each equation you and your child create.
When your child has mastered this game, try tossing 3 pennies!
