Letter recognition and familiarity with letter sounds are important skills that will help your child get ready for kindergarten.
Create “Letter Boxes” to help with letter sound skills. To make a letter box, draw a letter on the outside of a box and ask your child to help gather items with the same beginning sound. Make a list of the box’s contents, and draw pictures of each item. Spend a few days on each letter, and then use the lists and pictures to create an alphabet book.
