It’s easy to assume that children playing are just entertaining themselves, but in fact playtime is also hugely beneficial and essential to a child’s intellectual, physical and social development. If your child is happily playing, do not feel the need to interrupt this with a "learning" activity. Know that play is a toddler's business!
