Print the first letter of your child's first name on a sheet of paper and say the name of the letter. Point out other examples of the letter on food labels, in newspaper and magazine headlines, on signs and so on. When your child recognizes the letter easily, play I Spy with the letter. Say: I spy the letter C on the box. Can you find the letter C? Once your child can recognize the first letter of his name, do this activity with other letters.
