Don't worry if your toddler doesn't yet recognize the letters in his alphabet book. Letters are just one of several symbol systems your child is beginning to notice. Encourage this awareness by pointing out the letters in your child's name. Point out letters everywhere—on cereal boxes, on signs and on blocks.
