Problem solving
Children use problem solving skills to handle myriad situations in their everyday lives. For example, a child may need to determine how much time it will take to finish her homework assignment while saving enough time for soccer practice, or decide how to delegate work for a group project at school. You can help build your child's problem solving skills by encouraging her to participate in family decisions. Always praise your child's efforts to reason through different situations.
