Move to the music

Channel your toddler’s energy with creative movement songs. Singing and acting out the words to silly songs is a fun, active way for toddlers to build vocabulary and develop motor skills. Sing songs about body parts, feelings or shapes, or invent lyrics for the step-by-step processes of brushing teeth, picking up toys or getting dressed. Don’t spend too much time worrying about the melody—just add your own words to the “Happy Birthday” or “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” tunes instead.
