Children are naturally active. Early on, they use their ability to crawl and walk to explore their environment. However, movement is a joy in itself for most children. Learning new skills such as clapping or stomping adds to their repertoire of fun things to do. Over time these movements become more precise: walking leads to running and jumping, and hopping leads to skipping. Before you know it she’ll be playing catch (and actually catching) and skipping rope!
