Learning Stages
Pretend play begins at about 18 months. Nearing age 3, children enjoy putting themselves into roles from stories they know (from stories, movies, and so on).
Cut out these Scout ears to create a puppy headband, or make a bunch and romp with a pack! As your child plays, ask questions like, "Puppy, what do you eat? Where do you sleep? What do you do when you are happy?"
