How can I keep my son entertained on a long family road trip?

There are a number of fun games and toys to keep your son entertained and the number of times you hear “Are we there yet?” to a minimum. LeapFrog’s tablets are great for traveling, with over 1000 games and eBooks to download and play. Some of my other favorite travel games for kids include Eeboo’s Travel Bingo Car Game (www.eeboo.com), Mudpuppy’s Magnetic Figures and Build-its (http://www.galison.com), and Blue Orange’s Spot it on the Road (http://www.blueorangegames.com/). You can also make up some fun games to play with your son like asking him to imagine where different cars are going, finding objects that start with different letters or searching for different states’ license plates. For really long car trips, you might want to pack some of your son’s favorite books, earphones and a music player filled with his favorite music or audiobooks, or even a portable dvd player.
