Learning Stages

Introduce your toddler to the parts of his body from the shoulders up! These are vital vocabulary words for a child. Point to these parts on yourself, your child, a doll or a picture and introduce him to each part of the head and face. Help your child learn to correctly name these parts of the body: head, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, teeth, lips, chin, hair.  Test their memory by asking: What's that on your face? Can you show me your nose? Reinforce the learning by playing Simon Says using the parts of the face and head. Simon says touch your ears! Simon says show me your hair!

For the learning the rest of the body, try the Meet your feet! activity.
