Who knew the perfect preschool food would also make the perfect crafting project? It's inexpensive, durable, and dyeable. You can string multicolored macaroni onto yarn to make a necklace or garland, stack it into sculptures, or glue it onto cardboard.

Mix pasta shapes (corkscrews, bowties, tubes, etc.) with liquid watercolors or food dyes and then spread them out to dry. Let your child glue them onto cardboard to create snowflakes, skeletons, everyday scenes, or just about anything he can imagine!

In addition to showing his creativity, your child will be practicing his planning skills (How many pasta pieces will I need? Do I have enough pieces to complete this project?).
