Online Safety on LeapFrog Tablets
The LeapPad Ultimate and LeapPad Academy tablets have been designed to keep your child from viewing unwanted content through the following features:- Parent Lock Code: During initial device setup, you will confirm that you are an adult and create a Parent Lock Code. This code is required to view or change any device settings, including access to apps and content. Keep this code safe from your children.
- LeapSearch on LeapPad Ultimate: LeapSearch is a kid-friendly browser included with LeapPad Ultimate. LeapSearch only displays age-appropriate content, such as LeapFrog videos and educational pages.
- LeapSearch on LeapPad Academy: By default, LeapSearch only displays age-appropriate content, such as LeapFrog videos and educational pages. Parents can allow additional websites for their children to view by entering their Parent Lock Code in Parent Settings and going to LeapSearch Browser Controls. Before allowing access to additional websites, please consider your child's digital privacy and safety and provide guidance to your child, as additional websites are not under LeapFrog's control.
- Web Browser on LeapPad Academy: LeapPad Academy includes a web browser that is available to parents in the Parents section. Parents can add the web browser to their child’s home screen if they choose by entering their Parent Lock Code in Parents Settings and going to App Manager. Before allowing access to the web browser, please consider your child's digital privacy and safety and provide guidance to your child, as external websites are not under LeapFrog's control.
