Tag™ School Reader
The Tag School Reader is an easy-to-use handheld learning tool for students in PreK through Grade 3. This personal learning tool responds to every touch on specially-printed books and materials, with audio feedback and on-demand reading assistance. Students reading Miss Spider's Tea Party, for example, can touch an icon to hear the story read aloud, or touch a single word to hear the pronunciation. Even the pictures come to life for added story context and background information. Engaging activities focus on core reading skills including comprehension, vocabulary development, phonics, and phonemic awareness.
The following items are available in the Tag School Reading System:
- Tag School Readers
- Headphones for quiet study
- Tag School books from the library series
- Rechargeable battery chargers and rechargeable batteries
- Classroom storage boxes for the Tag School Readers
Classroom Setup
The setup you choose for your classroom will depend on how many Tag School Readers you have and your preferred instructional model.
Reading Center:
You may wish to set up a reading center (or add Tag School Readers to a current center) and have students share the books and Tag School Readers.
One-to-One:
You may want students to have their own Tag School Reader and work individually, using a one-to-one implementation model.
After School & Home-School Connections Programs
Tag School Readers and books are portable, do not require student computers, and are easy to use outside the classroom, making them especially suitable for after school and home-school connection programs. The engaging, interactive approach keeps students interested as they work to develop early literacy and comprehension skills.
