Activity: Ten jumps

15 minutes
Early number sense, gross motor skills

Have your child perform two jumps, hops, skips, giant steps, baby steps, claps, turns, wiggles and so on, as you use your voice and fingers to count out each action as it is performed.

Slowly work your way up to ten—this will introduce the concept of numbers and quantity in a meaningful and fun way.
