Play this rhyme game with your child.

Tell your child that you will say a word and that he or she will try to think of a word that rhymes with it. Use short, easy words such as bad, bell, dad, dog, fold, land, make, pack, rain. Made-up words count!

The ability to rhyme contributes to early reading success.
