Activity: Super sums

Deck of cards, paper, pen or pencil

Remove all the face cards but the aces from a deck of cards. Use the aces as ones. Have each player write the numbers 1 through 12 on a piece of paper. In each round, both players pick two cards from the deck and use the cards, or the sum of the cards, to cross off numbers from the list. For example, a 3 and 6 could be used to cross off a 3, 6 or 9. Whichever player crosses off all of the numbers first is the winner.
