Learning Tip: Six-pack recycle

Recycling cans? Count the cans with your child and show him how “6” actually stands for six separate objects.

Show different arrangements to get to 6: two sets of 3, three sets of 2, or 5 and 1. Demonstrate that all of these arrangements equal 6.
