Activity: If the jar fits

Various sized jars or plastic containers with lids
Time:
15-30 miinutes

Matching, sorting & classifying

Unscrew caps from a dozen or so jars of different sizes and shapes.  Line the jars up and put the lids in a pile.  Have your child match each lid to the correct jar.  An alternative is to use various sizes of plastic food storage containers, if the lids are easy to put on.
