Print this 2-page Neighborhood Passport to log the places you visit during the week. Fold the pages twice so you have a cover and several inside pages of neighborhood places. Each time you visit a place, ask your child to write about it in his or her passport ("I met Sam at the park. We played on the swings.").

Use the passport as the starting point for discussions about the different places in your neighborhood, and how each place has a different purpose (parks for play and exercise, libraries for discovering books, etc.).
