Learning Tip: Bubbles of fun

Liven up bath time by giving your child a bottle of soap solution and a wand to blow bubbles while in the tub. Spark scientific curiosity in your kindergartner by asking questions about the bubbles:

What is inside the bubbles? Are there colors on the bubbles? Can you name the colors? What are the colors doing? What do you think will happen if you gently touch the bubble with your wet finger? What will happen if I touch a bubble with my dry finger?

Don't have bubbles? Try playing word games. Make a game by pointing out all the B words: "B is for bubbles, bath and boat . What else starts with B?" Try other letters, like W (wash, warm, water, etc.).
