Enlist your child’s help in the kitchen and have him measure out ingredients for you while you are cooking. He will become familiar with the units of measure common in the kitchen: teaspoons, tablespoons, cups, and quarts. Begin introducing him to simple equivalents: one tablespoon equal three teaspoons, one cup equals sixteen tablespoons and so on.
