Activity: Pennies for the piggy

Pennies, piggy bank or other container
Time:
15 minutes

Ask your child to count aloud as he drops three pennies into a piggy bank. Then, have your child count on, adding four more pennies to the bank, and tell you how many in all. Finally, help your child check to see if the total is correct by spilling the pennies from the bank and counting them again.
