As children become better readers and spellers they learn that a letter or group of letters can have different sounds in different words. The y at the end of cry says /eye/ and the y at the end of sunny says /ee/.

To print this activity:

You will need a PDF viewer such as Adobe Reader installed on your computer.
Make sure your printer is turned on.
Click the Print Version (PDF file) button above.
Select the Print option in Acrobat Reader.
