Play “what’s missing” with your preschooler to improve her memory skills.

  • A few household items

Learning Stages

Place a few household items on the table. Tell your child to look at the items and try to remember what’s there. Then ask him to turn away while you take one of the items. When he turns back around ask him to try to figure out what you took off the table. Once this becomes easy you can increase the number of items on the table.

Playing this game gives your child the opportunity to really hone his observation skills as well as visual memory. A strong visual memory plays an important role in mathematics.
