The Learning Difference

Ready for Takeoff integrates science, technology engineering, and mathematics (STEM) topics into a fast-paced, exciting game. This immersive app features problem solving missions in which players design flying machines to achieve specified goals. Players test their design, observe how well it met the mission goals, review progress and data, and receive tips on how to improve for the next flight. Lessons around flight physics give player some background on how to best design and engineer their plane. Problem solving is an important skill for mathematical and scientific thinking, but it also helps children tackle day-to-day challenges. Good problem solvers use creative, flexible thinking and can apply problem-solving strategies to art, math, writing, social situations and more.
